Juice Day #1.

Got up early and went to the computer downstairs to print out my juicing recipes. My son SamHarper came down the stairs and asked me what I was doing. I told him printing out my new juice recipes. He naturally got excited and asked me if he could help. I said "yes" and lets go to the store to get all the stuff we need. So off to our local Safeway to get all the fixins. Came home and Tom was in the kitchen he helped me set up the juicer and we made of first batch of juice. Sam helped push the fruit through the long tube and he was gleeful as the fruits and veggies became my juice. Now the big test, the taste and I got to tell you I was pleasantly surprised it is pretty good.

A little about myself, today I weigh about 310 pounds. I am tall 6'3ht and am relatively active, but I have allowed myself to gain about 60 pounds in the last 6.5 years and now at 48 I am starting to feel the drag on my health. I am still able to do most physically activities but I can see and feel my body slowing down. I need to be here for myself so I can be there for family. This will be hard for me. I am a giver and a nurturer by my DNA and I have to learn to take care of myself first...I'm telling you this is going to be hard. Now off to the shower to get ready for work and start my day. I hope you find some inspiration in my journey I think I may find out some stuff about myself that may be tough to look at but I am ready. Thanks.
